The Lodge comes with an attached slabbed courtyard run, combining to a total area of 7ft x 6ft. The run is constructed from recycled decking.
The Lodge itself measures approximately 7ft in length, 6ft 2' in height, and 3ft in depth, while the attached run spans 7ft x 3ft. Bumblebee Lodge offers several advantages: pets have the freedom to explore the attached run throughout the daytime, which is particularly beneficial for those who dislike being lifted. Additionally, the lodge boasts ample headroom, ideal for those big bunny ears!, and it's deeper than most conventional hutches. I recommend Bumblebee Lodge for: - Rabbits prone to digging, as the paved run prevents any escape attempts. We also provide a dig box. - Frisky or skittish rabbits, as the single-level design reduces the risk of injuries. - Rabbits that prefer not to be lifted. For rabbits with the following conditions, I advise considering alternative accommodation during the winter months to ensure better insulation: - Elderly rabbits. - Rabbits living alone. - Rabbits accustomed to indoor living. |
The accommodation includes: - Large litter tray with bedding - Spacious wooden hidey house - Treat ball, play ball, wooden & cardboard toys, including a large chew tube and wooden bridge - Hay - Food bowl - Water bowl/bottle - Dig box This setup is best suited for either two to three rabbits or five to six guinea pigs. Pets are securely locked in the lodge at night for their safety. The lodge is covered with thick tarpaulin to shield them from snow, rain, and frost. During winter, pets are provided with a large cardboard "snuggle box" filled with hay for added warmth. You may also bring a heat pad or extra straw to further insulate your pets. Situated in a shaded area under a large tree, the lodge remains cool during summer. You can bring an ice pod to help keep your pets cool, or we can provide frozen bottles. For temperature monitoring, each lodge is equipped with a thermometer inside. Protective netting surrounds the run areas to keep flies, leaves, and seeds out. |
The lodge features two levels with an attached run, totaling an area of 11ft 9' x 5ft (excluding the second level). Both the run and floors are constructed from recycled decking. The Lodge itself measures approximately 5ft in length, 5ft 3' in height, and 3ft in depth, while the attached run spans 8ft 9' x 5ft. Bluebell Lodge offers several advantages: pets have the freedom to explore the attached run throughout the daytime, which is particularly beneficial for those who dislike being handled. Additionally, the lodge provides ample headroom, ideal for those big bunny ears!, and it's deeper than most conventional hutches. I recommend Bluebell Lodge for: - Rabbits that prefer not to be lifted. - Pets that enjoy grazing on grass without digging. - Calm pets that are not easily startled. For rabbits prone to digging, I highly recommend booking our other lodge, Bumblebee Lodge, as its run is paved with slabs. If you've booked Bluebell Lodge, please inform us if your rabbit tends to dig so that we can monitor them closely. We'll also provide a dig box in Bluebell Lodge. Please let us know if you would like to book the lodge only (without access to the attachted run at a discounted price) I suggest considering alternative accommodation during the winter months for better insulation if your rabbit: - Is elderly. - Lives alone. - Typically resides indoors. |

Best suited for 2 rabbits or 4-5 Guinea pigs. Please be aware that like any accommodation with two levels, there is a very small risk that pets can fall from the higher level and potentially injure themselves. You may want to book alternative accomodation such as Bumblebee Lodge if you have frisky/skittish rabbits. Pets will be locked in the lodge at night keeping them safe and secure. The lodge is covered with thick tarpaulin to keep off snow/rain/frost. We also provide pets with a large cardboard 'snuggle box' in winter stuffed with hay. You can bring along a heat pad or extra straw to also keep your pets warmer in winter. Please note that there is usually very little grass in Bluebell lodge during winter. The lodge is located in a shaded area under a large tree and you can bring an ice pod to keep them cool in summer or we will provide frozen bottles. The lodges have protective netting around the run areas to keep flies, leaves and seeds out. |
