A: [Optional] If you prefer, you may bring fruits, vegetables, or herbs for your pet, and we'll store them in our fridge. We offer a variety of fresh options daily, including carrots, rosemary, thyme, basil, mint, kale, romaine lettuce, spinach, green beans, cucumber, and peppers. Each day, rabbits and guinea pigs receive a generous handful of fresh food. However, rabbits should consume fruits and carrots in moderation due to their high sugar content. On your pet's first visit, you can specify their preferred fruits, vegetables, or herbs on their pet information form. If your pets consume more than a large handful of fresh food each (as shown in the picture) for their main meal, please bring additional supplies. If the fresh food runs low during your pet's stay, you can request us to purchase more, and we'll inform you of the extra cost. If you've provided fresh food but haven't asked for additional purchases, we'll offer our own fresh food for the remaining duration of their stay if it begins to spoil or runs out. Please be aware that we have limited fridge space for each pet's fresh food supply. You can pre-pay for additional fresh food by informing us of the approximate amount you typically spend on fresh food for your pet's stay, and we'll include the cost in the total boarding quote. Given rabbits' and guinea pigs' sensitive digestive systems, please inform us of their typical diet and portion sizes. Please note that it's advisable to avoid feeding Iceberg lettuce to your rabbits and guinea pigs, as it lacks nutrients and can be toxic to them if given excessively. |
